Production Process
-
It is one of the largest animation archive facilities in Japan with over 50,000 animation production materials in storage.
The animation production process, which consists of many layers of steps, is introduced in an easy-to-understand manner through carefully selected exhibits of actual planning documents, setting materials, and image boards. -
The animation proposal will include materials from a business perspective, such as marketing research and target audiences, which are conducted when producing an animation.
Furthermore, storyboards are said to be the blueprints for images, and these materials are rarely shown to the general public, so the actual storyboards can be seen in the permanent exhibition. -
Also on display are various settings such as character settings and worldview settings, settings of various tools that appear in the play, and actual materials such as image boards that clearly express the world of the work.
The exhibition also provides an opportunity to learn about the division of labor in animation, including finishing, effects, and editing.
This makes it a valuable place to experience up close and personal the fascinating process of how animation is created.
We invite you to visit the Animation Tokyo Station B1 permanent exhibition and experience the "Animation Production Process".
