BOCCHI THE ROCK!Love Live!5 Centimeters Per SecondDirector Makoto Shinkai’s animation (2007) for Theater-comprises three parts: “Cherry Blossom Story,” “Cosmonaut,” and “5 Centimeters Per Second.” As life pulls them apart, childhood sweethearts Takaki and Akari follow separate roads. Time simply passes, leaving behind the special feelings that existed only between them. The story depicts the passage of time and the emotional distance between them as they until grow up adults. Gotokuji is the place that Takaki used to pass by on his way to school during his junior high school days, and one of the railroad crossings around Sangubashi Station appears in an impressive scene in this anime. 5Nine girls form a school idol group called μ ’s (pronounced muse) to help save their high school from closing, this is the first series (2013, 2014) at the School Idol Project. The story—set in Akihabara, Kanda, and Jimbocho—has one of the members working as priestesses (miko) at Kanda Shrine, while taking time to do idol training by running up and down the famous steps, Myoujin Otokozaka with other member, and features Sweets Cafe Takemura (called Homura in the anime), the model for the house where the girls live, and the UDX building, the model for the academy of the rival top idol group A-RISE.A 2022 anime based on the 4-panel comic series by Aki Hamaji. Introverted and gloomy loves playing the guitar heroine Hitori Goto, known as Bocchi, joins the “Kessoku Band” and begins to gradually change her everyday life through her interactions with other members.
