It is a facility that preserves valuable cel animation and other production materials in good condition, while showcasing the charm of anime to both domestic and international visitors, including tourists, anime fans, and students, through the use of anime and manga content.

There are no age restrictions.
Anime fans can enjoy viewing nostalgic and up-to-date anime works. -

How long does it take to explore the whole facility?
A.
If you just want to take a look at the exhibits, it will take about 30 to 40 minutes. However, if you’d like to search for anime, ask the staff about the production process, or participate in workshops, you can easily spend over an hour enjoying the facility.

What kind of anime can I see?
A.
We offer a wide range of anime exhibits, from classics to the latest releases. We also rotate special exhibitions three to four times a year, along with updates to our archive displays. For more details, please check the "Event Calendar" on our website.

When are the workshops and events held?
A.
Workshops are held regularly on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. We also occasionally hold workshops and events that have a limited number of visitors. For more details, please check the "Event Calendar" on our website.

How could I get to the facility?
A.
You can take the JR, Seibu Ikebukuro, Tokyo Metro Marunouchi, or Tokyo Metro Yurakucho lines to get to the facility, which is just a 4-minute walk from the East Exit of Ikebukuro Station.

What are the opening hours?
A.
The facility is open from 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Last admission is at 6:45 PM, and entry to special exhibitions is until 6:30 PM.

When are the closed days?
A.
The facility is closed every Monday. However, if Monday is a public holiday, the following weekday will be a closure day. Additionally, the facility will be closed during the New Year holidays from December 30 to January 3. Please note that there may also be temporary closures for exhibit changes, and we will notify you via our website and social media in such cases.

Are group tours allowed?
Should I make a reservation in advance?A.
Group tours are allowed. However, due to limited capacity, please make a reservation in advance through the "Group Tour Application and Inquiry" section on our website.
If there are other group reservations on the same day, we may request that you change the schedule or the number of visitors. We appreciate your understanding in this matter.
If a group tour is cancelled, please contact the person in charge. -

When should I make a reservation for a group tour?

Please make your reservation at least 3 business days in advance. Please contact us through the "Group Tour Application and Inquiry" section on our website. If you would like to cancel the group tour, please contact the person in charge.

What is the maximum number of participants allowed for a group tour?
A.
Due to the limited capacity of the exhibition space, we recommend a maximum of about 50 participants for a comfortable visit. Groups will be divided into two to take turns viewing the exhibits.

Are educational trips such as school field trips and social studies field trips allowed? If so, could staff members provide guidance?
A.
We are currently preparing a program for educational field trips that includes staff guidance. If you have any requests, please contact us through the "Group Tour Application and Inquiry" section on our website.

Sorry, but there is no customer parking area. Please use the nearest paid parking lot.

Is there a bicycle or motorcycle parking area?

There is no dedicated bicycle parking lot. Please use the paid bicycle parking lot in the neighborhood.
Sorry, but there is no customer parking area for bicycles or motorcycles. Please use the nearest paid parking lot. For bicycles, there is a convenient paid parking area located behind the Tokyu East No. 5, where our facility is located. However, motorcycle parking is not permitted there. -

Is there support for foreign languages?
A.
Our staff provides support in English at all times. Additionally, if you request in advance through the [Contact Us] form, we could also provide support in other languages.
*Please note that support for other languages may not be available depending on our staff's availability. -

What are the barrier-free facilities?
A.
There is an elevator and a universal restroom (multi-functional restroom) located on the B1 floor.
While we do not have audio guides for exhibit introductions, our staff will provide a verbal introduction for you instead. -

Are strollers available for rent?
Is it possible to bring in a stroller?A.
Sorry, but we do not offer stroller rentals.
You are welcome to bring your own stroller, but please note that during busy times, we may ask you to store it at the reception on the 2nd floor. Thank you for your understanding. -

Is there a place for diaper changes and nursing?
A.
For diaper changes, please use the diaper changing table located in the women’s restroom on the B1 floor. There is no nursing room available.

Is eating and drinking allowed inside the facility?
A.
To protect the exhibits, eating and drinking inside the facility are not permitted. Also, please refrain from bringing takeout cups or food into the facility. You may bring water bottles and screw-cap bottles or cans for hydration, but this is only allowed on the 1st floor.

Are there lockers available?
A.
We provide free small lockers (dial lock type).
1st floor: 27 lockers (locker size: width 30 cm × depth 48 cm × height 50 cm)
2nd floor: 36 lockers (locker size: width 30 cm × depth 48 cm × height 40 cm)
However, if there are any belongings left in the lockers after the facility closes (at 7:00 PM), they will be handed over to the police as lost property. Please note that the facility will not be responsible for the whereabouts of the belongings thereafter. -

Can you check in large luggage such as carry-on bags?

We have small lockers available, but there are no lockers for large luggage such as suitcases. Also, we are unable to store luggage at the reception, so please store your large items at a locker or baggage storage facility at the station in advance.
